Civil society groups plan to hold a candlelight march in Seoul 15:00 Jan. 15 as a part of their series of weekly rallies demanding the resignation of President Yoon Suk-yeol. Activists will march from Samgakji Station to City Hall Station in Seoul. Organizers then plan to assemble at City Hall Station at 16:30 and may hold a rally. Previous related demonstrations have attracted hundreds of participants.

Security personnel will almost certainly monitor the demonstration. The action will likely pass off peacefully, though isolated skirmishes cannot be ruled out. Localized transport disruptions are likely, especially at Samgakji and City Hall stations and along the march route.
