France: Authorities lift remaining COVID-19 entry restrictions as of March 1 /update 1

France lifts remaining COVID-19 international travel restrictions as of March 1.

Informational

Event

Authorities have lifted all remaining COVID-19-related entry requirements as of March 1. Previously, travelers from China had been required to present a negative COVID-19 test before departure to France. The use of masks on flights is still recommended.

Domestically, authorities no longer require persons who test positive for COVID-19 to isolate themselves. The use of facemasks is still recommended in enclosed and crowded spaces, as well as at large gatherings.

The government could tighten or otherwise amend restrictions with little-to-no notice based on disease activity over the coming weeks.

Advice

Follow all official instructions. Abide by national health and safety measures. Ensure contingency plans account for further disruptive measures or reintroduction of restrictions.
