Activists plan to march in support of Justin Pearson, a former Tennessee House of Representatives member who was ousted from the legislature earlier in April. Demonstrators intend to gather in at least two locations: the Memphis City Hall and the National Civil Rights Museum, and from there, march to the Shelby County Board of Commissioners. The march coincides with the Shelby County Board of Commissioners' 13:30 meeting to vote on whether to reinstate Pearson into the state legislature.

Hundreds are likely to participate in the demonstrations, which may cause transport disruptions in the impacted area. Heightened security is likely around government buildings.
