Suspected bandits stormed Sabon Layi, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area (LGA), Kaduna State, around 09:00 on April 12. Assailants invaded the locality firing indiscriminately and looting shops, and stealing cattle. Even though the exact casualty toll remains unclear, reports indicate that the attack left at least nine residents dead and 25 others kidnapped. Authorities confirmed the incident and announced that an airstrike neutralized several fleeing bandits a few kilometers from Sabon Layi.
