Working-From-Anywhere—How to Manage Risks and Ensure Business Continuity.
In March 2020, very early in the pandemic, Crisis24 initiated a bespoke embedded analyst program to provide data and analysis in support of the client’s business continuity plan throughout the COVID pandemic. We held a discovery session with the leadership team to identify the needs, we conducted a full risk assessment, evaluated their business continuity plan, and set clear KPIs for success.
It was essential for our client, who has a worldwide presence, to be mindful of community standards at each of their 30+ global sites. On many occasions, their criteria for return-to-work protocols have been more stringent than the local requirements.
Our comprehensive program covered actionable protective intelligence, work-from-home people risk management, and site risk management. Leveraging our Crisis24 Global Security Operations Center, we monitored all risks associated with people and brands.
The primary weekly deliverables offer real-time information on the COVID situation at its 30+ sites worldwide, subdivided by region: Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. We build a comprehensive report in the form of scorecards summarizing the situations in the vicinities of all their global offices. It covers COVID statistics, trends, local restrictions for indoor and outdoor venues, business-related and travel restrictions. Once a week, the Crisis24 analyst team does an online presentation providing a deep dive on a selection of offices of interest. Data can be provided at a national or local level to suit the client’s requirements.

Importance of Quickly Adapting to Developing Global Events
Crisis24 Managed Risk Services dedicated analyst team also utilizes its expertise to provide all-around protection and intelligence analysis to developing global events as they occurred.
For organizations to not only operate but prosper, they must be able to quickly adapt to change. Anticipating threats, identifying, and mitigating risks help them prepare and respond to crisis.
Our team produced a series of reports to address client concerns about the Tokyo Olympics. We assessed the impact of Venezuelan migrants on Colombia and the efforts to offer COVID-related services to those migrants. On general security matters, we reported on the 2020 US Presidential elections and surrounding events, including the spread of civil unrest. We also created several reports on the threat of wildfires in the vicinities of our client’s offices on the west coast.
We delivered a market entry assessment for Eastern Europe. Our client had selected a number of locations in Eastern Europe for a potential geographical expansion, and we conducted a thorough security overview on where they would potentially open an office. We looked at political and geopolitical stability, economic conditions, infrastructure quality, sector-specific concerns, health, and environment at the national level and security at the local level.
