Algeria: Major Air Algérie flight disruptions May 16

Flights operated by Air Algérie departing from Algerian airports are facing major disruptions as of the morning of Tuesday, May 16, due to a surprise strike by maintenance technicians at airports throughout the country. According to media sources, up to 100 percent of departures may be canceled. Air Algérie has asked travelers to avoid going to the airport until the situation stabilizes. Flights operated by other airlines, as well as Air Algérie flights to the country, could also face disruptions.
