As of Sunday, September 17, the provinces of Kalasin, Sakon Nakhon, Phrae, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Phangnga, and Satun continue to be affected by heavy floods triggered by Typhoon Doksuri. Traffic disruptions have been reported in multiple areas due to flooded roads. Authorities started to restore transportation links to isolated areas on Monday, September 18.
Context
Thailand has been hit by severe floods during the current monsoon season, which spans from April to October. Strong tropical storms that hit the country from July 5 to August 15 resulted in flooding in more than 44 provinces, killing at least 40 individuals and affecting nearly two million people.
