Dominican Rep.: Teacher protests nationwide April 13

The teachers association ADP (Asociación Dominicana de Profesores/as) is holding demonstrations throughout the country on Friday, April 13, to mark the 48th anniversary of its founding and to call attention to various demands. The demonstrations are set to begin at 10:00 (local time), with the largest gathering to take place in front of the Ministry of Education building in the capital Santo Domingo.

The ADP has spearheaded numerous strikes and protests in the country in recent months.
