France: Flood alerts issued in the north April 30

Alerts in effect on April 30 in six northern departments due to risk of flooding

The French meteorological authorities, Météo France, have issued orange flood alerts (the second-highest on a four-point scale) for six departments of northern France for Monday, April 30. The alerts are in effect in the following departments: Calvados, Eure, Nord, Pas-de-Calais, Seine-Maritime, and Somme. Strong winds are also forecast for the region. Related travel disruptions are possible.
