Belgium: Flooding and rail disruptions until June 4

Flooding results in rail disruptions, notably to and from Brussels-Zaventem Airport; disruptions expected until June 4

Heavy rain in recent days has resulted in flooding in various areas of Belgium. Some of the worst-hit areas have been the city of Ostend and Limburg province. The flooding has resulted in rail disruptions, including the suspension of services between the city of Leuven and Brussels-Zaventem International Airport (BRU); according to Belgian Rail (SNCB), normal services are currently expected to resume on this line June 4. Furthermore, only one train per hour is running between BRU and Antwerp as of Monday, May 28.
