Storm alerts in effect May 30 in northeastern, central, and southwestern France; transportation disruptions possible

The French meteorological authorities at Météo France have issued orange storm alerts (the second-highest on a four-point scale) for much of the northeast, center, and southwest of the country. A total of 39 departments are covered by the alerts, as of 09:30 (local time) Wednesday, May 30.
