France: Widespread storm alerts in north and west May 28

Storm alerts in effect May 28 in northern and western France, including Paris; transportation disruptions possible

The French meteorological authorities at Météo France have issued orange storm alerts (the second-highest on a four-point scale) for much of the north and west of the country, including the Paris region, as of Monday, May 28. A total of 32 departments are covered by the alerts as of 11:00 (local time). 

Related air and rail disruptions, hazardous driving conditions, and power outages are possible.
