Nepal: Rally in Kathmandu May 3 (World Press Freedom Day)

A rally was organized on Thursday, May 3, in Kathmandu to mark World Press Freedom Day 2018. This peaceful mobilization was led by the Federation of Nepali Journalists. The rally took place from Babarmahal to New Baneshwar and was held without incident. 

Context

Demonstrations,  strikes and rallies do often take place in Kathmandu, usually motivated by ethnic or political matters. Violence is not rare.
