Disruptions are expected to continue to affect rail service to and from Paris-Montparnasse train station in the coming days, with "near-normal" services slated to resume by Friday, August 3. According to the French national railway company (SCNF), approximately two-thirds of trains were running on schedule on Tuesday, July 31, with service expected to approach three-fourths' capacity on Wednesday, August 1. Traffic is expected to be close to normal on Friday and completely re-established by Monday, August 6. Power supply units have been partially repaired and are expected to be fully operational in the coming weeks. The disruptions have been caused by a fire affecting the electrical grid in the suburb of Issy-les-Moulineaux, which broke out around noon on July 27.
