At least two people killed in clashes on DRC-Uganda border on September 14

At approximately 21:00 (local time) on Friday, September 14, armed rebels attacked a Congolese outpost in Kavimvira along the DRC-Uganda border. According to security officials, Congolese forces killed at least two attackers. The incident led to the temporary closure of border crossing points between both countries. Anticipate a heightened security presence in the area in the coming days. Further clashes are possible in near-term.
