Spain: Demonstration in Barcelona on September 16

The Hablamos Español civil society group has called for a demonstration to take place in Barcelona on Sunday, September 16, to defend the teaching of Spanish in schools. According to local sources, demonstrators will rally at 12:00 (local time) at Plaça de la Universitat before marching to Plaça Sant Jaume. A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions are expected in the vicinity of the demonstration.
