Chile: Public sector strike and protests continue November 28 /update 1

A strike by public sector employees launched nationwide on November 26 to demand pay raises continues as of Wednesday, November 28. Associated protests will be held throughout the country at 10:30 (local time); in the capital Santiago, the demonstration will be held at Plaza de la Constitución. Clashes between security forces and protesters are possible, notably if the latter attempt to disrupt traffic.

Public sector disruptions are also possible. 

The strike is expected to continue until the union’s demands are met.
