All domestic flights were canceled through midday (local time) on Thursday, and all flights via Ísafjörður were canceled for the day. Several roads were also obstructed by the storm; Route 1 was closed between Gígjukvísl and Jökulsárlón. Lingering transportation disruptions - including delays and cancelations of international flights - are possible in Iceland over the coming hours as meteorological authorities have issued a storm warning through midnight, with high winds and poor traveling conditions forecast.
