Lebanon: Demonstration planned in Beirut November 17

Civil society groups have called for a protest to be held in Beirut on Saturday, November 17. According to organizers, the demonstration is being staged to protest ineffective waste management in the city. Demonstrators are expected to gather at Place des Martyrs at 16:00 (local time) before marching towards Grand Serail. Heightened security measures and localized traffic disruptions are to be anticipated near the demonstration.
