Spain: Metro strikes in Madrid December through March
Series of strikes by Madrid metro workers from December 10 through March 30

Mechanics employed by the Madrid metro are threatening to hold a series of strikes from December 10 through March 2019. The walkouts are currently set to take place during the following periods (all times local), although this schedule is subject to change:
- December 10-14 between 05:30 and 09:00 on lines 6 and 10A
- December 17-21 between 17:00 and 22:30 on lines 1, 2, 3, and 5
- January 19 from 11:00 to noon on lines 3, 5, 7A, and 9A
- January 11 from 16:00 to 17:00 on lines 2, 4, 6, 8, 10A, and 12
- January 26 from 16:00 to 17:00 on lines 2, 4, 6, 8, 10A, and 12
- February 2 from 16:00 to 17:00 on lines 2, 4, 6, 8, 10A, and 12
- February 9 from 11:00 to noon on lines 3, 5, 7A, 9A, and 11
- February 16 from 16:00 to 17:00 on lines 2, 4, 6, 8, 10A, and 12
- February 23 from 11:00 to noon on lines 3, 5, 7A, 9A, and 11
- March 2 from 16:00 to 17:00 on lines 2, 4, 6, 8, 10A, and 12
- March 9 from 11:00 to noon on lines 3, 5, 7A, 9A, and 11
- March 16 from 16:00 to 17:00 on lines 2, 4, 6, 8, 10A, and 12
- March 23 from 11:00 to noon on lines 3, 5, 7A, 9A, and 11
- March 30 from 16:00 to 17:00 on lines 2, 4, 6, 8, 10A, and 12
Individuals in Madrid are advised to allow for extra time to reach their destinations.
Advice
Significant disruptions, including the potential cancelations of all
services, are possible on affected lines during the strike periods.
Crowded conditions on operating lines and other forms of public
transportation are also to be anticipated.
