Chadian militants killed seven people and wounded 43 others in an attack on Libyan National Army (LNA) forces in the Taraghin area (Murzuq district) on the morning (local time) of Thursday, December 27. According to an LNA spokesperson, the attack was launched in retaliation for recent clashes in Saddada between LNA fighters and the Petroleum Facilities Guards (PFG), led by Ibrahim Jathran, and allied fighters. Similar attacks targeting LNA facilities are possible across Libya over the near term.
