Spain: Strike period extended at Madrid-Barajas Airport Dec. 21 – Jan. 21

Eulen security workers at Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas International Airport (MAD) plan to extend their partial strike from December 21, 2018, to January 21, 2019. Delays and longer waiting times are expected at security checkpoints throughout the duration of the strike. Possible flight disruptions cannot be ruled out.

Individuals traveling from, to, or via MAD are advised to allow for extra time to pass the security checks, confirm their flight schedule prior departure to the airport, and contact their airline for further information.
