Security employees to hold possible strikes at Madrid-Barajas international airport (MAD) from December 21 to January 8; significant flight disruptions expected

The Alternativa trade union called for security staff at the Madrid-Barajas international airport (MAD) to hold a strike from Friday, December 21, through Tuesday, January 8, 2019. Security employees have been asked to hold work stoppages daily from 05:00 to 14:00 (local time). Should the strike persist, significant disruptions to flight operations are likely, including delays and potential cancelations.
