Spain: Demonstration to be held in Sevilla on January 15

Civil society groups have called for a demonstration to be held in Sevilla on Tuesday, January 15, in defense of women's rights and in response to the far-right Vox party winning 12 seats in the Andalusian parliament in the December 2 regional election. Demonstrators are expected to gather at 12:00 (local time) in front of the Andalusian Parliament building. A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions were reported in the vicinity of the demonstration.
