Bahrain: Roadside bomb targets military patrol on Sheikh Zayed Highway Feb. 11

A roadside bomb reportedly exploded on Sheikh Zayed Highway between A'ali and Salmabad on the morning (local time) of Monday, February 11, targeting a military patrol. The number of associated casualties was not immediately reported. A heightened security presence was deployed to the site following the explosion, with security forces cordoning off the affected section of the route and causing traffic congestion.

An increased security presence and residual traffic disruptions are possible at near the site of the explosion over the coming hours.
