One Billion Rising Solidarity events planned across Europe and US, among other places, to protest violence against women and related injustices February 14; large crowds and traffic disruptions expected

The One Billion Rising Solidarity movement has organized events on Thursday, February 14, across Europe and the US to protest violence against women and related injustices. Countries in which the rallies are planned include, but are not limited to, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, UK, and the US. Similar events are planned in these and other countries over the coming days and weeks. A complete list of locations at which related events are planned is available here.
Large crowds, increased security measures, and localized traffic disruptions are possible at demonstration sites.
