A spokesperson for Libyan Airlines announced the airline was resuming flight operations at Mitiga International Airport (MJI) on Tuesday, April 9, after Libyan aviation authorities suspended flights at the airport the day prior. On Monday, April 8, MJI suspended operations after a Libyan National Army (LNA) airstrike targeted the airport. The Civilian Aviation Authority reportedly authorized the resumption of nighttime flights until further notice. Officials indicated the first flights will be used to transport those travelers stranded abroad due to the earlier ground stop at MJI.
