Municipal workers call strike and schedule protest in San José for July 15; associated transportation delays expected

Members of a municipal workers' union will be on strike throughout the streets of San José and in the surrounding regions on Monday, July 15. Workers seek to protest a new bill that will allow employers to dismiss staff easier. The protest will begin at 08:00 (local time) and take place at the Ministry of Treasury and will proceed to the Legislative Assembly.

Associated transportation disruptions and a heightened security presence are expected in the vicinity of the protests.
