Mexico: Farmer protests reported in Guerrero State on July 9

Three protests by farmers, including road blockades, were reported in Guerrero State July 9; further protests possible

Farmers' grievances turned into three distinct protests in Guerrero State due to a lack of supply fulfillment. An estimated 600 farmers from the Tlacoapa Municipality turned out to protested before local authorities. Hundreds of farmers also reportedly blocked the Taxco-Iguala road near Puente Campuzano, which lasted for 17 hours.

Protesters vowed to continue protests until authorities deliver the demanded supplies.

Similar protests and associated transportation disruptions are to be expected for the next several days throughout Guerrero State.
