South Africa: Ongoing bus drivers’ strike in Praetoria July 29

An ongoing bus drivers' strike has caused gridlock in Pretoria in the morning (local time) on Monday, July 29. Drivers have parked buses on main roads, including on N4 highways, effectively blocking the traffic. Police have been dispatched to try and unblock roads. Drivers are protesting for a salary increase of 18 percent and were in negotiations, though frustrations with the city manager caused today's protests.
