Dominican Republic: El Cibao regional strike planned for August 12

Workers across El Cibao region are set to participate in a 24-hour general strike on Monday, August 12. Several community and popular groups will reportedly take part in the strike, which is intended to draw the government's attention to demands such as a reduction in fuel prices, jail for the corrupt, and a general increase in wages.
