Austria: Protest to take place in Vienna October 3
An anti-government protest is to take place in Vienna on October 3; heightened security presence and transportation disruptions expected

The Wieder Donnerstag activist group will hold a demonstration and march in Vienna on Thursday, October 3, from 18:00 to 23:00 (local time) to protest the Austrian People's Party (OVP). Protesters will gather at the OVP headquarters near the Rathaus at 18:00 and march to the Zwinglikirche. For more information regarding the protest route, see the map here. Approximately 500 protesters are expected to participate in the march and counter demonstrations are possible along the protest route.
A heightened security presence and localized transportation disruptions, including road closures and public transport delays, are expected in the vicinity of the demonstration.
