According to the Emirati official news agency WAM, the government has announced it would lift a travel ban in place that prohibits its citizens from traveling to Lebanon on Monday, October 7. The decision follows a visit by Lebanese Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri to Abu Dhabi. The lift will reportedly come into effect as of Tuesday, October 8.

The travel ban was in place since February 2016 in opposition to Hezbollah's role in Lebanese politics.
