Germany: Lufthansa cancels 1300 flights due to strike November 7-8 /update 4

Lufthansa canceled 700 flights on Thursday, November 7, and 600 flights on Friday, November 8, due to a 48-hour strike launched by cabin crew members. Around 180,000 passengers are expected to be affected by the cancelations. However, Lufthansa said that its other airlines, including Eurowings, Swiss, Austrian Airlines, and Brussels Airlines will not be impacted by the strike. Context

A similar strike was held on October 20, led to the cancelation of at least 100 flights. Union leaders claim that that Lufthansa has refused to negotiate over better pay and conditions for cabin crew members.
