Warning

Event

Thousands of Cambodians will gather in Phnom Penh on Tuesday, January 7, to celebrate the country's 41st Victory Day. Officials expect 50,000 - 100,000 people to attend the ceremony at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Center in the capital, which will celebrate the fall of the Khmer Rouge regime. The government has implemented additional security measures for the event, deploying 3200 additional security officers and banning unauthorized drones from flying near the area.

Similar celebrations are expected to take place in urban centers across the country amid a heightened security presence. Transportation disruptions, such as road closures and public transport delays, are likely in the vicinity of any gathering.
