The leader of the Social Democrats opposition party, Zoran Milanović, won the presidential election on Sunday, January 5, with 52.7 percent of votes. His five-year term will begin on Wednesday, February 19. The incumbent President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović garnered 47.3 percent of votes.
