Water supply to be cut for construction work in Peliyagoda and neighboring areas January 13-14; take appropriate measures

The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) announced that a 24-hour water supply cut is scheduled to take place in Peliyagoda and its surrounding areas from 08:00 (local time) on Monday, January 13, through 08:00 on Tuesday, January 14, due to construction work on a water project located on the Kelani river.
Further residual disruptions cannot be ruled out.
Advice
Individuals in the affected areas are advised to conserve water, stock up on bottled water, keep abreast of the situation via local media outlets, and adhere to all instructions issued by the local authorities (e.g. water rationing measures).
