Event
The US Geological Survey (USGS) recorded a 5.1-magnitude earthquake in the south-west of Iran on Saturday, May 24, at approximately 13:41 (local time). The earthquake struck 3km (1.8mi) northwest of Dogonbadan (Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province) at a depth of 10 km (6 mi).
There were no immediate reports of injuries or material damage. Aftershocks are possible in the affected area over the coming hours and days.
