Iran: Gunmen kill three border guards in West Azerbaijan province May 29

On Friday, May 29, unidentified gunmen attacked and killed three Iranian border guards in Sardasht county (West Azerbaijan province), near the border with Iraq. Several of the attackers were reported killed in ensuing clashes with the guards. No individual or group has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
