Ukraine: Ongoing hostage situation in Lutsk July 21

According to reports, a hostage situation is ongoing in Lutsk (Volyn Oblast) on Tuesday, July 21. An armed man is holding up to 20 people hostage on a bus in the center of the city, and reports indicate that shots may have been fired; however, no casualties have been reported at this time. Armed police have been deployed to the area and roads have been blocked off to pedestrian traffic, and security personnel are reportedly trying to negotiate with the armed man. 

A heightened security presence is to be anticipated in Lutsk in the immediate term.
