Around 2200 polling stations will be open between 07:00 and 17:00 (local time) across Jamaica, with almost two million people eligible to vote on Thursday. Around 7400 sanitation officers will conduct temperature testing and implement measures such as social distancing and sanitization at polling stations due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

Despite a ban on physical campaigning and political motorcades, around 11,500 police officers and 4100 soldiers are set to deploy to key locations on Thursday as political rallies gatherings could lead to significant traffic disruption and present an increased threat of criminal activity. The colors orange, green, and yellow are politically significant in Jamaica and may incite a reaction if worn in public.
