Sudanese authorities announced on Wednesday, September 16, that at least 41 people had been arrested during counter-terrorism operations targeting a terrorist cell in Khartoum North. An official stated that a large amount of explosive material, including ammonium nitrate, was also seized. The operation was reportedly the culmination of a surveillance operation of suspicious individuals occurring since August.
