The Mashhad Water and Sewerage Company has announced that a planned water outage will occur in several areas of Mashhad, Khorasan Razavi Province, 0800-2000 Dec. 17. Affected areas include addresses along Doctor Hesabi Street, Hashemi Rafsanjani Expressway, North Adib Boulevard, Shahed Boulevard, Shahid Fallahi Boulevard, Shariati Boulevard, and Vakil Abad Expressway. The disruption is to allow for routine maintenance work. Residents may experience lingering disruptions, such as low-pressure supply, through early Dec. 18.

Some business disruptions are possible in the affected areas, especially at companies that rely heavily on municipal water to maintain operations.

Advice

Stock up on drinking water and confirm alternative water supplies for business operations. Use only bottled water from reputable suppliers for drinking and hygienic purposes. Pressure and quality may be poor after service resumes; run taps for several minutes before using water. Minimize nonessential water use throughout the outage.
