Sudan: Authorities to suspend flights at Khartoum International Airport Dec. 14

Authorities at Khartoum International Airport (KRT) have stated that flights will be suspended at the facility on Dec. 14 to accommodate runway repairs. The suspension will last from 0800-1300. The maintenance work at the facility follows an earlier incident on Dec. 11 when the wheel of a landing aircraft exploded. Authorities have stated that they expect regular travel to resume following repairs.

Significant travel delays and disruptions are likely and may persist after flights resume until schedules normalize. Repair work may also continue beyond the aforementioned period.
