Andorra: Domestic coronavirus disease restrictions in effect as of Jan. 7 /update 3

Andorra maintaining domestic COVID-19-related measures as of Jan. 7. Significant travel and business disruptions remain.

Warning

Event

Authorities are maintaining restrictions on domestic activity as of Jan. 7 as part of efforts to mitigate the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Associated domestic measures include:

  • Most businesses are permitted to reopen; capacity limits and social-distancing mandates ensuring that members of different households maintain at least 1.5-meters (5-feet) distance are in effect.

  • A maximum of five people are permitted to gather in public.

  • Facemasks are required in all public places, including on urban roads.

Ski stations began to reopen to local nationals Jan. 2; travelers from France and Spain will reportedly be allowed to visit ski stations from Jan. 9.

Although Andorra’s borders remain open, foreign visitors will need to meet travel requirements set by neighboring France and Spain to reach the country.

All restrictions are subject to amendment at short notice in response to government reviews and may receive updates or extensions in the coming days.

Advice

Follow all official instructions. Abide by national health and safety measures. Reconfirm all travel arrangements. Consider delaying traveling if experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19, as they may prompt increased scrutiny and delays. Liaise with trusted contacts for further updates and guidance.

Emphasize basic health precautions, especially frequent handwashing with soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are unavailable. Practice good coughing/sneezing etiquette (i.e., covering coughs and sneezes with a disposable tissue, maintaining distance from others, and washing hands). There is no evidence that the influenza vaccine, antibiotics, or antiviral medications will prevent this disease, highlighting the importance of diligent basic health precautions
