Activists affiliated with a number of environmental groups are planning to protest in central Belgrade Jan. 10 to denounce environmental pollution. Participants will gather at 1200 on Slavija Square before marching to the Government of Serbia building on Nemanjina Street around 1200. Attendance could reach the low hundreds.
Although the event is likely to pass off without incident, security forces will likely deploy in the vicinity and associated movement restrictions could prompt localized transport disruption. Violence is unlikely.

Avoid the protest Jan. 10 to mitigate related disruptions. Allow additional time for travel in the vicinity of the gathering. Leave the area at the first sign of a confrontation.
