Event
Protests have occurred in Saravan, Feb. 23. Demonstrators have clashed with the security forces and occupied a local governorate office. Damage to the building and at least one police vehicle have been reported. There have been no immediate reports of casualties; however, given the ongoing nature of the unrest, casualties are possible. Authorities have also reportedly disrupted internet services in the city. Several roads in the city have been closed. The unrest is in response to the killing of several ethnic Baluch fuel collectors by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Feb. 22.

Violence could escalate if additional casualties occur during the ongoing protests.
