Iran: Water outage planned in parts of Gorgan Feb. 16

The Golestan Water and Sewerage Company has announced that a planned water outage will occur in parts of Gorgan, Golestan Province, 0800-1600 Feb. 16 due to maintenance works. Affected areas include Naharkhoran Boulevard, Sayad Shirazi Boulevard, and Imam Reza Street. Residents may experience lingering disruptions, such as low-pressure supply, through late Feb. 16.

Some business disruptions are possible in the affected areas, especially at companies that rely heavily on municipal water to maintain operations.

Gorgan is located approximately 300 km (186 miles) northeast of Tehran.

Stock up on drinking water and confirm alternative water supplies for business operations. Use only bottled water from reputable suppliers for drinking and hygienic purposes. Pressure and quality may be poor after service resumes; run taps for several minutes before using water. Minimize nonessential water use throughout the outage.
