An explosion at a weapons depot in the Qasr bin Ghashir area of Tripoli District, Libya, has left one person dead and three others injured early Feb. 24. Explosive remnants of war (ERW) reportedly caused the blast.
Increased security, as well as localized transport and business disruptions, are likely near the incident site as emergency operations continue. Authorities could evacuate nearby buildings as a precaution.
Qasr bin Ghashir is approximately 18 km (11 miles) south of central Tripoli.
