Mexico: Transport workers to protest in various parts of Mexico City March 10
Transport drivers to hold protests throughout Mexico City, Mexico, from 0700 March 10. Major disruptions, roadblocks are likely.

Transport workers affiliated with the Transporters' Expanded Force (Fuerza Amplia de Transportistas, FAT) plan to protest and block roads in various parts of Mexico City March 10. The action is to protest failed negotiations with the government to increase transport rates. The protests are scheduled to begin at 0700 at 10 locations around the city; however, protest organizers have stated that rally points will not be announced in advance. Some protesters also intend to march to the Zocalo after the blockades, at some stage during the day.
The protests are also likely to cause significant ground transport disruptions throughout Mexico City, especially if protesters use their vehicles to block roads. Disruptions to bus services are also likely for the duration of the demonstrations. Police will almost certainly deploy to monitor all large gatherings. Low-level confrontations are possible if police attempt to disperse those blocking roads.
